The Islamic Ethics and Behavior program at Nejashi Islamic University aims to cultivate individuals who embody the moral teachings of Islam in their daily lives. Islam places great importance on character, sincerity, honesty, and compassion, and this course helps students understand how these values shape both personal conduct and community life.
Through the study of the Qur’an, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the works of respected Islamic scholars, students learn the foundations of Islamic morality and how it applies to modern society. The course emphasizes reflection, discussion, and practical application of ethical principles in real-life situations.
Students are encouraged to think deeply about how Islamic ethics guide relationships within families, communities, and institutions. In the Ethiopian context, where communities are diverse and interconnected, the course also highlights values such as respect, social harmony, responsibility, and service to society.
By the end of the program, students are expected to develop a stronger sense of accountability, integrity, and leadership grounded in Islamic teachings.
